Structured Support. Real-World Independence. On Your Terms.

LifeWorks On-The-Go (OTG) is a postsecondary support program for autistic young adults who are building independence while balancing work, employment goals, and personal responsibilities.

Designed for individuals who want structure without full-time programming, On-The-Go provides targeted goals, guided accountability, and real-world skill development — all while supporting increased autonomy in daily life. Participants in OTG can elect to live on-site in our Julie and Gary Ransdell Living & Learning Community apartments, gaining hands-on experience with independent living skills.

What On-The-Go looks Like

Goal-Centered Support

Participants develop individualized goals focused on vocational growth, executive functioning, independent living, and interpersonal skills. Goals are reviewed regularly and evolve as progress is made.

Real-World Skill Building

Learning happens through practice. On-The-Go emphasizes transferrable skills that directly support employment success, daily responsibility, and long-term independence.

Accountability That Adapts

Each participant is paired with a LifeWorks Liaison who serves as a consistent accountability partner — providing guidance, check-ins, and coordination across the staff team.

Independence, Without Pausing Life

  • On-The-Go participants attend LifeWorks programming Monday–Thursday for half the day, choosing a schedule that fits their individual needs (8:30–1:00 or 12:00–4:30).
  • Participants receive the same high-quality LifeWorks programming — including independent living education, vocational development, wellness activities, cooking, volunteering, and community engagement — while maintaining flexibility for work, job searching, or other commitments.
