The LifeWorks Transition Academy is a structured, two-year postsecondary program that focuses on empowering young adults diagnosed on the autism spectrum to successfully transition to lives of independence, self-direction, and employment. Participants reside in a living-learning apartment community located on the LifeWorks campus.
Each participant is required to work toward achieving successful outcomes in the following areas: employability, housing & transportation; health wellness, & nutrition; daily living skills; relationships; financial management; adaptability; personal safety; and social & leisure activities.

LifeWorks On The Go is a post-secondary program serving autistic young adults living within driving distance of the LifeWorks main campus who are not enrolled in the Transition Academy.
Participants take part in the daily programming at LifeWorks, including coursework, pre-vocational group services, fitness/health activities, volunteering, and social activities.
On The Go utilizes a person-centered approach to increase confidence and foster growth for personal independence in the following areas:
Employability ▪ Health, Wellness, & Nutrition ▪ Life Skills ▪ Relationships ▪ Financial Management ▪ Adaptability ▪ Personal Safety ▪ Social & Leisure
On The Go participants are not enrolled in college or vocational school and do not live on-site in the Julie & Gary Ransdell Living & Learning Community.

As a contractor for the Kentucky Office Of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), LifeWorks provides Pre-Vocational Services (Pre-VS). The purpose of Pre-VS is to educate and prepare individuals, ages 21 or older, for the best possible outcomes after high school. Pre-VS may address the following areas: job exploration counseling, post-secondary counseling, self-advocacy instruction, work-based learning experiences, and workplace-readiness training. This service can be significantly helpful in preparing an individual for Supported Employment services.

LifeWorks is an authorized contractor for the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) to provide Supported Employment (SE) services. Having skills to successfully obtain and maintain a job is vital to independent living. LifeWorks SE services may include any combination of the following: job-related discovery and assessment, person-centered employment planning, job placement, job development, negotiation with prospective employers, job carving, job coaching and systematic instruction.

LifeWorks is committed to creating an inclusive community where individuals on the spectrum can truly thrive. In addition to helping our participants develop their employment-readiness skills, we also help employers develop their autism-readiness skills in the workplace. Through our LifeWorks Employer Education Program (LEEP), we work directly with businesses and organizations to provide training on autism inclusion in the workplace to ensure successful employment for both our participants and their employers.
